And I’m probably a lot like you…
Mom of three, recovering perfectionist, and someone who learned the hard way that "hustle harder" doesn't work when you're already running on fumes.
Hi, I’m Allison.
I didn't start out as a fitness coach who specializes in realistic approaches for exhausted moms.
I started out as an exhausted mom who thought I had to do everything perfectly or not at all.
I was the person who would start a new program on Monday with ALL the motivation, meal prep like my life depended on it, crush workouts for two weeks... and then completely burn out when life inevitably got messy.
I thought the problem was ME. That I wasn't disciplined enough. That I wasn't trying hard enough.
Turns out, the problem was the approach.
Everything I was trying was designed for people who had unlimited time, consistent energy, and lives that could revolve around their fitness goals.
That wasn't my reality. And I'm guessing it's not yours either.
Your reality is wiping butts between work calls. Replying to emails in the school pickup line. Trying to look professional on Zoom while chaos is in full swing off-camera. Making dinner while refereeing fights and mentally running through tomorrow's schedule.
You don't need another perfect program. You need a realistic one.
And that's exactly why I built Fit Mom Collective.
What I actually believe about fitness:
1. Realistic beats perfect, every single time.
I don't care about your "before and after" photo. I care about whether you can sustain this approach for the next decade of your life. Quick fixes are quick, but they don’t actually fix anything.
2. Your body isn't a problem.
You don't need to "fix" yourself. You need an approach that was actually designed for a body that grew and birthed humans, for a schedule that's completely unpredictable, and for energy levels that change daily.
3. Small steps > giant leaps.
You don't need to overhaul your entire life. You need to build sustainable habits that actually fit into the chaos. Progress over perfection, always.
4. Community changes everything.
Trying to do this alone is exhausting. Being surrounded by women who understand your exact struggles? That's where real transformation happens.
5. Taking care of yourself isn't selfish.
You can't pour from an empty cup. Prioritizing yourself doesn't make you a bad mom - it makes you one who can actually keep up with the daily demands of life.
6. The boring basics actually work.
You don't need the trendy, complicated stuff. You need to understand what actually works for YOUR body and build consistency around it. That's it.
I'm a certified prenatal and postpartum fitness specialist, which means I actually understand what happens to your body during and after pregnancy along with how to help it feel strong and capable again.
(Yes, peeing when you sneeze is fixable. No, it's not just "part of being a mom." And yes, I can help with that.)
I've been coaching women for years, and I've worked with over 100 moms who were exactly where you are right now - tired, overwhelmed, uncomfortable in their bodies, and convinced they'd tried everything.
My certifications:
NASM Certified Personal Trainer
NASM Certified Nutrition Coach
GGS Pre- and Post-Natal Specialist
Women’s Coaching Specialist
Behavior Change Coaching Specialist
(and more)
But here's what matters more than the letters after my name:
I understand what it's like to feel like a stranger in your own body. To avoid photos with your kids because you hate how you look. To get winded going up the stairs. To feel guilty every time you think about prioritizing yourself.
And I know how to help you feel like YOURSELF again - without overhauling your entire life or becoming a fitness influencer.
The professional stuff you probably want to know:
When I’m not coaching…
I'm a mom to three wild boys and married to the love of my life. The Army brought us to North Carolina years ago, and we never left!
My life is pure and utter chaos 25/8.
I work from home while managing everything for my family. I'm the default parent. We don’t use daycare. My kids are in every sport known to man (because why wouldn’t we do that to ourselves?) and our dog is 100lbs of crazy.
Give me a chance to go to the beach and breath the ocean air, and I will take in a heartbeat. Every time.
I’m an avid football fan (Go Ravens!), a sour candy connoisseur, and the queen of taking on more than I can handle but somehow figuring it all out anyway.
